Last Week's Run: 1686 Rover's Live Hare Run

Last Week’s Notes:

Before the Run

This week's run took us back to the Isle of Death in the middle of Han River via Hangang Bridge.  Our hare, Bend Over Rover, caught up with 50th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice hoopla was unavoidably late and consequently started a live hare event with a good 25 minute head start.

Even with both EMs being absent the day's earlier rains let up and the skies broke for an exceptionally beautiful run.

Appearing for the run were Jockstrap, the GM, DODIC Master and son Sherpa along with their 4-month-old Labrador retriever.  Blank Space  later appeared as a result of unexpected business.  Eventually BaliHite appeared but we are getting ahead of our story.

The Run

The run headed north over the bridge and then after doing the usual right-hand dog leg continued on north.  Suddenly the trail started heading east zipping in and out of alleys and teasing to head right on to the US 8th Army base.   One interesting falsie took us right into a dead end of dogs and ajumas lounging about on the curb and asphalt.  Upon seeing us tentatively approach, both sets of bitches snarled and chased our luckless hounds away in an immediate about face, double time.

Eventually the trail headed west and in the general direction of the infamous Shin Yongsan pleasure quarter.  Sherpa and Puppy were a big hit with the "business women."  When Son asked Dad what did all those girls do, Dad replied that "Oh, they just hang out."  A very wise answer indeed.  More than once has a Hasher in his time suggested to a lovely to come over to his place and "hang out."

Dropping down to river level - now at near flood level, the trail eventually found itself back on the bridge heading way down south to the island where the hare had a fine collection of Burger King grease and starch.

The Circle

The Hash Horn was blown and the Benediction was given by former GM DODIC.  The Hare was called up for the usual abuse - about which time BaliHite arrived from a late business appointment.  However, the Hare noted that the first one at the OnIn he saw was none other than Blank Space and so according to Half-a-Mind logic he was deemed to be this week's Wingee.

Always in good form, Blank Space sucked up to the GM with a personally imported pint of Murphy's stout.  Not to be out done, another Returning Hasher, DODIC presented to both the GM and the Rover Thai Interhash tanktops.

Sherpa was presented with a  Phuket H3 cap in recognition of early yet constant enthusiasm for Hashing. With Sherpa among us our jokes were almost clean and certain lyrics were slurred to our songs beyond reasonable comprehension.

Better late than never, the GM handed out run patches (see above illustration of patch design by Fukaduk) to those who attended the Piss Off Run of July 2nd.

Finally it was time to ask BaliHite about where he felt like going and this time (of all directions) he pointed Way Down South

The OnOn
The OnOn was again at the Three Alleys Pub followed by a rec'y over to The Attic by Jockstrap and LeperCon.

This Week's Hymn: Bye Bye Cherry

(To the tune of "Bye Bye Blackbird")

Alternate Verses:

Take off all your underwear,
I don't care I'll go bare.
Bye Bye Cherry
I taught you how to dance and sing,
and also how to shake that thing.
Bye Bye Cherry
I took you to my cabin in the wildwood.
There I took advantage of your childhood.
I slid my hand beneath your dress,
and there I found a blackbird's nest.
Cherry Bye Bye

Back your ass against the wall,
here I come balls and all.
Bye Bye Cherry
I ain't got a hell of a lot,
but just enough to tickle your twat.
Bye Bye Cherry
Wrap your legs around me, Honey.
This thing of mine is feeling kind of funny.
Shake your ass and wiggle your tits,
until your little snapper splits.
Cherry Bye Bye
