ShiTonya on Trail's Summit
|

Last Week’s Notes: Susaek "Quarry" - more like "Trash Dump" - was our destination in a part of town we rarely run - west of downtown Seoul and few kilometers north of the Han River. For once our EMs failed us with less than optimal weather causing us to swear while standing about in the mud that Hare Ammo had really out done himself this time - and we had not even departed on the OnOut! The GM was on time to double splashed Ammo as Last Week's Wingee and this week's Hare. The Hare described the trail as having an A/B (A/D?) Split as well as a W/R (walk/run, get it?) Split. He allowed there may be some mud but the run wasn't too long this time. With that, he pointed up a wet, forested trail and we were off with Jolly Green in the lead with ShiTonya and LeperCon in behind. Later GM Plug and Play and OB1 scampered out and past the slower, older hounds. Capt Marvel eventually got around to taking a tour of the neighboring environs starting with the OnOut. Much, much later Hash Hooch BaliHite arrived and took off in hot pursuit. The TrailThe first hill was less slippery than feared thanks to good ground cover and leaves on the path. It was then soon down to a paved road where they encountered the promised A/B split. Only OB1took the A route by taking a right turn to follow the road. The rest took the B route by crossing the road and taking a path up a steep hill past pillboxes and trenches under pine trees. |

Working their way down they came along a road that led to a falsie and it was at this point BaliHite caught up with LeperCon and ShiTonya. After search about they found the True Trail after crossing through the obligatory grave yards. It was then up another hill to a helicopter pad allowing a fine view of the rain-soaked countryside. It was then DownDown and eventually a left hook on to a paved road and then across the road to a small lane. Along that lane the pack found the "R"-marked route. It was here that ShiTonya and LeperCon made their first of several wrong judgments along the trail by passing the split in search of the "W" route - or at least a decent Short-cut Cheating Bastard alternative that they never found. So the only apparent route was the "R" trail that took the pack up another hill of pines and then down to the right along another branch covered trail. Suddenly there was a left-hand shift OnUp a cross-country stretch that the gabbing older hounds walked past only to discover their error at a muddy dead end near an air field. Eventually all made it up through the cross-country stretch and out on to a small paved lane that became part of the True Trail taking the pack down to their left. Soon that paved section stopped at a giant muddy swath created by major road construction that had cut through a large hill. Most of the pack kept on the trail and cut through what will be 6 lanes of now mud to the resumption of the trail.
ShiTonya and LeperCon once again missed a critical trail marking and headed along and through the hill divide cursing about having to walk through so much mud. They then took a left through a village, another left up over a hill and came back to where they came out from the cross-country stretch of pines. Having completed this additional circle, these "wise" hounds realized where the True Trail led and followed even further behind the pack scrambling up the hill on the other side of the road construction to find good trail that ran along the hill ridge. The trail then took the pack out across rain flooded harvested rice paddies making it a sheer joy to maintain their balance along the thin, slippery paddy divides so as not to tumble into the paddies themselves. Covering two large tracks of the above, it was up on to an elevated country road and then a hook right into a lane that was 95% covered in water. Clinging to the six inches of ground along a fence to one side, the hounds came out to a muddy road that took a sudden turn off the road and up on to sure turf of the hillside. Here LeperCon and ShiTonya committed their last and most spectacular screw-up. Marching past the turn-off they came across what looked like a small sea of mud between them and the far-off yet visible OnIn site. Not seeing any other markings, the two elderly hounds charted the shortest course to the distant hard surfaced road near the Circle site. Some 15% towards their objective, both hounds simultaneously sunk into mud and involuntary took their next muddy steps wearing only their socks. Both simultaneously screamed "Fuck!" as they both are wont to due in such predicaments - proving that Half-a-Minds together are never additives but simply multipliers. Gingerly extracting their shoes from the mud with the slime responding with endearing sucking sounds, the hounds slipped their mud-covered feet back into their mud encased shoes. Realizing they had again fucked up, they back tracked and sure enough again discovered a well-marked shift in the True Trail. So it was along the final stretch up and over a small rise and down back to the OnIn where everyone else had long since consumed Mrs Ammo's superior sausage soup. The CircleAfter giving up on ShiTonya and LeperCon arriving at a reasonable time, the GM had Capt Marvel give the Hash Benediction. The Hare was brought up where he was subjected to well deserved abuse. OB1 was declared the Wingee as the asshole who preceded all other assholes. At just about when everyone had told their joke or sung a song, the two wayward hounds appeared with their lower extremities covered in mud. After recounting their misadventures detailed above, they were given a chance to tell a joke - beyond their admission of stupidities - and to be splashed. The GM then made a Pubic Announcement that the PMS Hash was holding their 3rd Annual MENstrual the next day, Sunday, at 4:00 PM where all male hashers were invited so long as they appear and run in drag. While no promises were made, the prior two such events had awarded the male hashers with thong displays, etc. The GM then called Jolly Green Knob back up to the front and asked him which way he felt like going to which he pointed in the direction of the Mighty Han and the rain-soaked pack broke out in singing our anthem, Way Down South! It was then OnOn to Kelly's Bar in Itaewon with ShiTonya for the first time ever advising he would be stopping by home to clean up before hitting the ville.
